PLDA is organizing a workshop in Goa/India, which will be accompanied by a three day seminar organized in conjunction with VIA Publishing and Institution of Indian Interior Designers.
The Seminars will be International in its course content and scale, by virtue of the educators and presenters drawn from amongst the Luminaries in the profession from USA, EUROPE and ASIA as well as the Participants expected from Europe & Pan Asian locations.
The Seminars will educate the design fraternity on what exactly a Lighting Designer does and what tools and skills form a part of his repertoire.
Demonstration of Light sources and their fundamentals as also designing with artificial light and Daylight, the cultural differences in an approach to Lighting will be important issues that would be deliberated.
Other topics covered would be on Lighting needs, individual as well as of a space and solutions based on study of Human perceptions.
This would be accompanied by a very small scale workshop defining the tasks and concepts with installations and tests wherein the participants get to work with luminaires.
