In tribute, Pittsburgh 250 Festival of Lights – the largest lighting event of its kind in the United States – asks you to explore many of our cultural and community assets at new times and in new ways to celebrate our region’s past, present and future.
Under the direction of Lucette de Rugy of Artlumiere, international designers transform building facades into stunning works of art. French artist Corentine Buron will showcase her work at Agnes R. Katz Plaza and the Omni William Penn Hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh. Friedrich Forster and Sabine Weissinger (aka CASA MAGICA) will light the Cathedral of Learning, the second tallest educational building in the world.
