As an example of one of most inspiring lighting design works we publish Liliencarré Shopping Mall by Lichtvision which was completed in 2007.

The mall is located in Wiesbaden around 30km from Frankfurt/Germany. The mall has elliptical form with insets which lighting designers used for lighting effect.

More information by LichtVision follows:

The mall is following the form of an ellipse. The lighting fixtures are mainly integrated in the architecture avoiding technical casings. Using mainly (compact) fluorescent lamps the maintenance cycles were maximized and the power consumption optimized.

The position of the indirect light sources on the wall is highlighting the course of the mall. The wall- and ceilingwasher group is dimmable in respect of the amount of daylight coming in.
