This interesting creation from Christopher Moulder called Quasar is made of aluminum and glass body with stainless steel antenae.

More info from Christopher Moulder:
_______

Two opposing forces stretch Quasar’s two halves and their showers of sparks towards an imaginary gravitational pull. The central, tenuous body, layered vanes of stainless steel, is stretched like taffy. As this motordriven piece rotates slowly, the light wisps in the hollow body extend and contract, kissing each other, pulsing regularly.
