We received this project from Guinter Parschalk – Studioix. Rochaverá Corporate Towers are located in São Paulo, Brazil.

Here is how Guinter Parschalk describes this project:
_______

This Project is one of the biggest project in Brazil today and was developed to be become the LEED certification.

The Lobby
The outstanding component of the complex, it is worth highlighting the project of the interiors conceived to the lobby. It was treated with six arcades, and the two edges had the traditional access canopies to the building eliminated, providing the sensation of integration with the square. The four central arcades are made of white marble blocks and a detailed work of carpentry in a combination with almost invisible glass and traditional four plaster blocks in “L” shape that horizontally conform the space.

The lighting proposed had the intention to obtain a special homogeneity, creating a “figure and background” situation that improved the 3D vision of space. The lighting by reflection is made of luminaries with flexible rods which being hung to the wood wainscot, in an up and down movement may be adjusted so as to obtain a perfect and homogeneous lighting. In order to comply with the issues of safety and energetic efficiency, a mix of metal halide and fluorescent T5 lamps was used.

Landscaping
The co-protagonist of this architectural project is landscaping.

The project bears the signature of the architect from California, Pamela Burton, with the arboreal selection developed jointly with landscape architect Sérgio Santana. The executive coordination of this project was made in the Aflalo & Gasperini office under the coordination of architect Eduardo Martins.

Occupying 30 thousand square meters of land, the landscape project would privilege the circulation of pedestrians. Automobile accesses would be restricted to the entrance of the venture; that in its turn, are found at the margin of the access routes, with tall trees that form a green “river” permeating the twin towers and creates a central square, thought to be an area to stay and for relaxation purpose to the users of the complex. With water mirrors and water falls that are integrated to and homogeneous, the landscape project creates organic forms that complement the architectonic hardness of the building complex.
Beside the “built to suit” tower, there is a more intimate garden that will be used in the future as a support to a nursery school of their employees’ children.

The lighting concepts in the exteriors areas, was developed to improve a minimum impact in the nature. Light density and light pollution was strongly reduced using metal halide polles and led pendants, hanging on the trees, without up-lights.

The water mirror falls were illuminated with blue ledlines on each step.
