April the 23rd was the opening day of the new 2009-2010 season with new exhibition at Dan Flavin Art Institute in Bridgehampton in New York,NY. The exhibition features the nine fluorescent light works as a part of the permanent installation alongside with Imi Knoebel: Knife Cuts Part 2.
The nine exhibited light works have been created by Dan Flavin himself in 1983 and have been supported and maintained by Dia Art Foundation ever since.
Imi Knoebel: Knife Cuts Part 2, is the latest in a series of temporary exhibitions at the Dan Flavin Art Institute that has included works by Louise Bourgeois (1989), Andy Warhol (1987 and 1992), Fred Sandback (2004â2006), and John Chamberlain (2007).

Holocenter (Center For Holographic Arts ) in Long Island City (NY) is the host of the retrospective exhibition “Light Magic” displaying the works of the late well known holographic artist Rudie Berkhout.
The exhibition features holograms from the early Berkhout’s period in addition to three new never before seen hologram creations that he managed to complete shortly before his passing in September 2008.
The exhibition will be open untill the end of May 2009.
