LichtVision from Berlin/Germany have sent us images of their project Museion – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Bolzano/Italy. It was completed in 2008.

The building features transparent east and west walls and a curvilinear bridges leading to the main entrance.

Here is some more info by LichtVision:

A regular pattern of luminous ceilings and recessed light lines ranges over the public areas from the basement to the 4th floor.

All lighting fittings are dimmable and equipped with T8 / 940 lamps (maximum CRI @ 4000K CCT) to achieve consistent light over all exhibition spaces.

A highly flexible lighting control system is installed. Lighting scenes, louvers and shades are controlled by software on WLAN-connected laptop computers.
The lighting track system integrated within each recessed light line and along the luminous ceilings features the DALI-Bus to individually control fluorescent lamps and ballasts or Halogen-transformers in tracks.

Handrail integrated LED-Tubes render the bridges as self-illuminating sculptural objects over the river – perfectly non-glaring and non-disruptive for the views to the Museion. Cyclists and pedestrians use two separate bridges which oscillate towards each other in vertical and horizontal movement.
